This past semester at Monroe Area High School, I have really decided what 'clique' I want to be in. The "I'm-gonna-be-myself-&-nobody's-gonna-stop-me" group.
I've always been different, never just one thing. I knew it was bound to happen one day. That one day I would completely change charachters, & venture to the unknown realm of independence.
I have NEVER had a 'bff' or a 'bffl'. I just chilled with everyone, but I wasn't the 'I know everyone lets party' type. Don't get me wrong I like to party & have a fabulous time, I just haven't fit in enough with one set of people that I can actually be me & get my groove on.
What was the event that made me 'Miss Independent'? My friend, Chance, showed me a song. A song named 'Coffee and Cigarettes'. That was my new theme song, and I knew from the begining that this was my new style. The modern hippie.
Since then, I have become a vegaterian, animal activist, wrote school reports on the enviroment, & how slaughter houses aren't just ruining animals but the planet. Yes, I am known as the tree hugger at school, but that's fine with me. Long as I'm not being compared to a slut.
What's the moral of this confusing, messed up, one-of-a-kind blog? Be YOURSELF. Have pink streaks in your hair! Wear darker make up & brighter clothes. Listen to different a kind of music. Stand up for what you believe in, and don't be afraid to enter the "I'm-gonna-be-myself-&-nobody's-gonna-stop-me" clique. We welcome with open arms. (:
I hate it when people label or stereo-type. Ive been called 'freak', 'emo', 'goth', and i just tel them to suck a duck. and often times people aske me 'What are you..? Are you scene are you punk..?' and i just say 'Im smelley old Jane c:'

im in that clique in my school too! everyones like u emo freak and im like i prefer to be called lauren (my name) but emo freak works too if you want...watever makes you happy :)
