I Am Human, Let Me Live.

So for our Social Studies project, my partner and I are working on William Henry Harrison. She's a really nice partner, and I wouldn't mind her, if she didn't fucking stereotype every band, or band member that I admire, calling them emo, gothic, or gay. She said, "If a guy wears eyeliner, they're either gothic or gay." I just stopped her right there, not wanting to completely explode and rant about gay rights and stereotyping, and showing her all the fucking scars of every kid who's been called that. I wanted to show her what the teen suicide rates are, and why they'te that high. I wanted to show her everything, and try to explain that WE ARE HUMANS, NOT SOUP CANS. If I wear dark clothes, I'm not emo. I'm not gothic. If a man wears eyeliner, that doesn't make him gay. Stop putting people in stereotypes, and judging them harshly by how they look, or what music they listen to. Emo means emotional. Gothic is a type of architecture. Self harm jokes aren't funny, and derrogatory slang hurts. We're all humans, we all have dreams and opinions, so stop trying to separate us and put us into groups. We all deserve to be judged as human, not a person who wears certain things, or wears certain makeup, or listens to certain music. I am human, and I deserve to be loved. If you didn't judge the music I listen to because of it's screaming, heavy drum beat, and fast guitar riffs, you would find that it's inspirational. It saves so many people. It's raw, and emotional, unlike most popular music nowdays. But you wouldn't know that. I wear black, so what? You wear pink. Colours are different, who fucking cares? What matters are the tears, the scars, the burns, the sadness, caused by judgemental fucks who don't even give people a chance. Black isn't a scary colour. If somebody is wearing all black, DON'T FUCKING SAY THEY'RE SCARY. It's a colour.
Look at the big picture. Stereotyping is killing teens. Blood flows from those called those derrogatory names. Tears fall from those who are shunned for what they wear. We're all human, let us live.
