Marilyn Manson: New Single ‘Unalive’ Music Video

August 15, 2026

Marilyn Manson marks this August 14 with two major announcements: the release of his new album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, and the online premiere of the official video for “Unalive,” the opening track of this new chapter!

Directed by Anthony Silva, the visuals accompany an album presented by the artist as the conclusion to the story begun with One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1, released in November 2024 via Nuclear Blast Records.

From the first notes of “Unalive,” Marilyn Manson dives back into the dark, industrial, and cinematic universe he has gradually developed across his recent releases. By choosing this title to open Chapter 2, the vocalist immediately sets the tone for an album that aims to extend the mood of its predecessor while pushing his melodic tensions and abrasive textures even further. Anthony Silva‘s video reinforces this visual dimension, with an aesthetic that is at once unsettling and theatrical, especially suited to Manson’s world.

Co-written and co-produced with Tyler Bates, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 constitutes the second part of the story begun in 2024. The first installment was propelled by “Sacrilegious,” “Raise The Red Flag,” and “As Sick As The Secrets Within,” before “Exit Wound,” unveiled in June, offered a first glimpse of this new release. With oppressive atmospheres, industrial textures, and a nearly cinematic tension, the track already signaled a darker and more visceral continuation.

About this second chapter, Marilyn Manson states: “I am proud to present the second chapter of One Assassination Under God. This completes my story. I have used every stone that has been thrown at me to sharpen my angles. I have risen beyond purgatory and etched these songs into the skin of the world. By listening to them, I hope they will form a scar you cannot forget.

With One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, Marilyn Manson thus closes the diptych initiated in 2024 while continuing the sonic evolution begun on the first installment. “Unalive” offers a first, darkly ambitious gateway, while the video by Anthony Silva visually extends this new facet of the artist. The question now is how this second chapter will come to life on stage in the coming weeks.
