Rock en Seine Takes a Break in 2027, Returns in August 2028

November 6, 2026

A Halt for Rock En Seine. The Île-de-France festival announces that it will not host its 2027 edition, citing notably major construction works around the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud. The organizers already set a rendezvous for the public from August 23 to 27, 2028!

After more than twenty years of energizing the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud at the end of summer, Rock En Seine is about to experience a year without the festival. In a message addressed to its audience, the festival announces a pause in 2027, due to unprecedented constraints beyond its control.

Among the main difficulties cited are the numerous redevelopment works planned around the site. These works are expected to significantly complicate access to the festival and would not allow guaranteeing satisfactory conditions for the public, the artists, and the professionals who work there.

The organizers insist they studied several solutions before making this decision, concluding that none would enable them to offer an edition worthy of their ambitions and of the public’s expectations. A difficult decision for an event that, over the years, has become one of the essential dates on the autumn music calendar in Île-de-France.

Nevertheless, Rock En Seine does not intend to vanish from the radar for twelve months. The team is already considering the possibility of presenting an alternative gathering in 2027, in order to keep the festival’s spirit alive despite this interruption.

So, fans will have to wait a little longer to stroll the lawns of Saint-Cloud and enjoy their traditional musical lineup. The next edition of Rock En Seine is officially scheduled from August 23 to 27, 2028. A forced pause, in the hope that these reunions will live up to two decades of shared memories.

And if Rock En Seine already feels missing, take comfort in our recap of the 2026 edition here.
