Murderdolls will hit the stage again in 2027 for the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium. A performance that will mark the band’s first show since 2018, but also the first since the passing of Joey Jordison in July 2021!
The announcement was made this Friday, November 6, by Wednesday 13 and the family of the former Slipknot drummer: “We are thrilled to announce that Murderdolls are officially joining the lineup of the Graspop Metal Meeting 2027,” the Jordison family stated. For his part, Wednesday 13 offered a simple “Murderdolls… see you in 2027.” The teaser accompanying their posts reuses an excerpt from “Slit My Wrist,” taken from Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.

Scheduled from June 17 to 20 in Dessel, the festival will thus host the group’s first public appearance since 2018, when Wednesday 13 had reunited guitarist Acey Slade and bassist Eric Griffin for a tribute concert to Ben “The Ghoul” Graves, who had died a few months earlier.
The lineup for this new formation remains to be clarified. While the involvement of Wednesday 13, Acey Slade and Eric Griffin is being considered, nothing has yet been officially confirmed, even though the latter two also appear in the teaser video. The band’s history is furthermore marked by tensions, notably around Women And Children Last (2010), recorded without the three musicians from the initial tour, then the dispute over the ownership of the Murderdolls brand in 2022 between Wednesday 13 and Acey Slade.
It remains to be seen whether this concert will be a one-off appearance or the start of a true reunion. The timing is symbolic, as 2027 will also mark the 25th anniversary of Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls, the first album that had established the band’s blend of glam, punk and horror.
