Two of France’s most active groups on the international stage come together on an unreleased track where the voices of Jean-Noël Scherrer and Florent Salfati blend with instrumentation as powerful as it is melancholy!
On paper, Last Train and LANDMVRKS operate in different universes. Yet the two French bands share an astonishingly similar trajectory. Hailing from Alsace and Marseille, they began at a very young age, crafted their identities far from the beaten path and, most importantly, grew on stage, eventually taking their music beyond French borders. After years of touring and international festivals, their paths cross today with “The Very End Of Every Me,” a collaboration unveiled on September 23 through [PIAS] Recordings.
Written collectively by the musicians from both bands, the track was not conceived as a clash of two styles, but as a natural meeting of two sensibilities. Behind the raw energy that characterizes their live performances, Last Train and LANDMVRKS indeed share the same focus on writing, where fragility and intensity constantly respond to one another.

Les deux chanteurs se croisent, se répondent et se superposent tout au long d’un titre qui conjugue mélancolie et puissance, porté par des guitares lourdes. Produit par Larry Hibbitt et Jean-Noël Scherrer, puis mixé par Florent Salfati et Nicolas Exposito, “The Very End Of Every Me” prolonge ainsi en studio une connexion déjà amorcée sur les scènes européennes.
The two groups notably shared the bill this summer at the Download Festival in the United Kingdom and at Rock Werchter in Belgium. A string of meetings that now gives this collaboration an almost obvious character, as the culmination of two parallel journeys rather than a mere one-off gathering.
Côté actualité, LANDMVRKS s’apprête également à accompagner Papa Roach sur sa prochaine tournée européenne, avec deux passages en France : le 1er décembre à l’Adidas Arena de Paris et le 6 décembre à la LDLC Arena de Lyon. Last Train sera quant à lui sur scène à Bruxelles le 1er octobre, à l’Ancienne Belgique, avant un concert au Zénith de Paris le 3 octobre.
With “The Very End Of Every Me”, Last Train et LANDMVRKS démontrent surtout que leurs différences musicales peuvent devenir une force lorsqu’elles se rencontrent. Deux trajectoires, deux identités, mais une même volonté de faire résonner le rock français bien au-delà de ses frontières.
