Nickelback continues the teaser campaign for Everything Under The Sun with the intimate “Make Me Love You,” which reveals another facet of the Canadian band’s eleventh studio album, set for release on October 30 through Virgin Music Group!
Following the explosive energy of “Rattle The Cage,” recorded with John 5, and the more melancholic mood of “Leave Me Behind,” Nickelback slows the tempo with “Make Me Love You.” Framed as an emotional ballad, the track delves into the feelings that accompany opening up to someone after having endured the pain of a breakup. Between attraction, vulnerability, and the fear of getting hurt again, the song explores that fragile moment when the prospect of a new romance can be as thrilling as it is daunting.
The song, whose premiere had notably aired on BBC Radio 2, illustrates the diversity claimed by Everything Under The Sun. Romance, heartbreak, resilience, and introspection should sit alongside the heavy guitars, grand melodies, and arena-ready choruses that Nickelback has been cultivating for more than three decades.
The band had already unveiled “Bones For The Crows,” which had reached the No. 1 spot, before “Rattle The Cage” and “Leave Me Behind.” With “Make Me Love You,” four tracks now offer a glimpse of the different colours of this new album, the group’s first proper studio album since Get Rollin’ in 2022.
