Parkway Drive Announces ‘HOME’ Film-Concert and Reveals Live Version of ‘Prey’

October 7, 2026

Parkway Drive has just unveiled the next steps of HOME, an ambitious project surrounding their extraordinary concert staged at the Sydney Opera House in June 2025. The Australian band today presents a live, orchestral rendition of “Prey,” the first taste of the album HOME – Live At The Sydney Opera House, set to arrive in December!

On June 9, 2025, Parkway Drive took the stage at the iconic Sydney Opera House for a sold-out show attended by merely 2,000 spectators. Far from their usual colossal productions featuring pyrotechnics and grandiose sets, the band chose to revisit their repertoire with the support of a symphonic orchestra and a cast of guests.

This extraordinary performance will give birth to HOME – Live At The Sydney Opera House, a 20-track live album slated for release on December 4 through Parkway Records/Civilians, with a release also announced by Epitaph. Pre-orders are already open. The record will feature such tracks as “Carrion,” “Wild Eyes,” “Crushed,” “Darker Still,” “The Void,” and “Home Is For The Heartless.” Nooky will appear on “Shadow Boxing,” while Jenna McDougall, former singer of Tonight Alive, will contribute to “A Deathless Song.” The album opens with a rendition of “Welcome To Country” performed by Matthew Doyle.

While awaiting the full release, Parkway Drive thus shares “Prey,” rearranged for the occasion with the orchestra. A first teaser that offers a fresh perspective on one of the band’s standout tracks.

The event will also be the subject of the concert film Parkway Drive: HOME. Directed by Allan Hardy, who previously helmed Viva The Underdogs, with Macario De Souza, the film documents this unique evening while also tracing the rise of Parkway Drive, from an Australian metalcore act to one of the nation’s most influential heavy bands.

The film will premiere worldwide on November 10 at the State Theatre of Sydney, before rolling out to a selection of Australian cinemas starting November 12. The project promises spectacular footage, including shots of Winston McCall rappelling down from a helicopter onto the sails of the Sydney Opera House, at a height of 65 meters, landing on a platform barely 60 centimeters wide.

With HOME, Parkway Drive thus captures a night that allowed the band to reinvent its own repertoire within an extraordinary setting. Between film and live album, this orchestral detour looks set to stand as a new testament to the evolution of a group that no longer hesitates to step beyond the conventional bounds of metalcore.
