No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, nominated twice at the Grammy Awards and certified multi-platinum, the track has since surpassed 2.5 billion plays worldwide. To celebrate this heritage, Plain White T’s today offers a fresh interpretation of the track alongside LØLØ. This collaboration also carries a strong symbolic dimension for LØLØ. In 2020, the singer posted on TikTok an unofficial reply to “Hey There Delilah”, imagined from Delilah’s perspective. The video quickly became a huge hit on the platform. Six years later, this fan-born initiative has become an official collaboration with the group behind the track.
About this opportunity, LØLØ confides: “I think everyone who grew up with “Hey There Delilah” has wondered at some point who Delilah really was. Me too. I could never have imagined, even in my wildest dreams, that I could be Delilah someday! This song has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
