One week before the release of its new album TANZNEID, set for August 7, 2026, Electric Callboy unveils a final teaser as surprising as it is effective with “The Way You Are”!
True to its taste for contrasts, the German group delivers this time a track that opens as a genuine romantic ballad inspired by late-1990s boy bands… before abruptly tipping into one of the heaviest songs in their discography.
Between catchy pop refrains, deathcore explosions and deliberate tonal shifts, “The Way You Are” perfectly illustrates Electric Callboy’s ability to blend genres with a sense of tongue-in-cheek humor that remains as formidable as ever.
The video follows the same logic. Initially presented as a kitschy homage to 1990s boy bands, it gradually slides into a gore-soaked, bloody universe, delivering a result as absurd as it is spectacular, in the group’s pure tradition.
About the track, Electric Callboy explains: “The Way You Are was born from a simple idea: to imagine a love ballad in the late-1990s boy-band style that would suddenly transform into one of the heaviest tracks we have ever written. We loved playing with this contrast, both musically and visually. The result is probably one of the most unexpected songs we’ve released, and undoubtedly one of our favorites on TANZNEID.”
Scheduled for August 7, 2026, TANZNEID will notably include the singles already unveiled “Hypercharged“, “Let The Good Times Roll“, “Revery“, “Still Waiting“, “TANZNEID“, “Elevator Operator“, “RATATATA” and now “The Way You Are”.
The album release will be celebrated at a major release party in Berlin before Electric Callboy presents TANZNEID for the first time on stage at the Escalation Fest 2026, alongside Paleface Swiss, The Rasmus, Alestorm, Heavysaurus and The Hardkiss.
Meanwhile, the global treasure hunt World Of TANZNEID is drawing to a close. The final Pink Boxes scattered around the world contain the last Golden Tickets, granting their lucky owners – and the person of their choice – a lifetime pass to every Electric Callboy headlining show.
The band will then embark on the TANZNEID World Tour, with four French dates scheduled for early 2027.
