After kicking off with a first return via “Dead Reckoning”, Employed To Serve cements it with “A Moment Gone Too Soon”, their second new single of 2026. The British metal quintet keeps the momentum going with a track that is as colossal as it is emotional, accompanied by an official video clip!
From its very first seconds, “A Moment Gone Too Soon” hits hard with its intensity. Between crushing riffs, a unifying energy and a chorus built for the biggest festival stages, the track fuses the brutality that defines Employed To Serve with a message that runs deep and introspective.
The band explains that this new track tackles a universal truth: our tendency to take what we have for granted until we realize, too late, that time has slipped away from us. “A Moment Gone Too Soon” speaks to something we are all guilty of: taking what we have for granted and only recognizing it when it’s too late, when the sands of time have subtly slipped through our fingers and every grain of a reality we once knew exists now only in our memories. Yet, this is not a nostalgic look to the past; on the contrary. It invites us to seize the present with both hands and extract from it every shard of happiness and every opportunity. In the end, that is all we truly own,” summarizes the band.
Like the band’s recent tracks, “A Moment Gone Too Soon” is released through Church Road Records, the label founded by Justine Jones and Sammy Urwin. For nearly a decade, the label has established itself as a major player on the British metal and alternative scene, hosting a wide array of artists. After years spent operating within other labels, Employed To Serve chose to fully bring their own roster in-house to regain complete control of their artistic direction and releases.
In addition to this new release, Employed To Serve has also announced a European and British tour co-headlining with the Danes of Cabal, with Cold Culture supporting. French fans can catch them on 4 December 2026 at the Backstage By The Mill in Paris.
