Evanescence continues its strong comeback with the official video for “Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough,” the new single from their latest album Sanctuary. Directed by Eric Richter, the clip blends footage captured during the band’s recent North American leg of the 2026 world tour with the on-stage intensity that accompanies this new era!
With this track, Evanescence directly tackles the mechanisms of control and manipulation. The band explains that the title is addressed to “to all those who are tired of being controlled and manipulated,” while posing an essential question: how far are we willing to go to keep following the path of least resistance, when sometimes it is time to resist? Co-written and produced by Zakk Cervini, known for his work with Bad Omens, YUNGBLUD, Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox, and Jordan Fish, former member of Bring Me The Horizon now involved in numerous projects, the track fully sits within Evanescence’s current sonic evolution.
The band can also rely on the impressive reception given to its previous single, “Who Will You Follow,” which became the fastest-rising rock track of its career on American radio. The song entered the Top 10 of American rock radio in under four weeks before clinching the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock charts in the United States and Canada, as well as the Rock & Alternative ranking. It also gave Evanescence their first number one on Billboard’s Hard Rock chart.
In the same vein, “Bring Me To Life,” the iconic track from 2003, just reached a new milestone by earning a RIAA diamond certification. It becomes only the 14th song in history to reach this level of certification within an album that is itself diamond-certified.
After dedicating part of its North American tour to charitable actions in partnership with PLUS1, Evanescence is now set to return to European stages. The arena tour will kick off on September 8 in Leeds, before moving on to Paris on September 18 at the Accor Arena. Poppy will provide support on all European dates. Nova Twins will open the European shows outside the United Kingdom, while K-Flay will round out the bill on the UK-only dates. K-Flay appears notably on “Fight Like A Girl,” the end credits song for the film Ballerina, from the John Wick universe. In Paris, the audience will thus see Evanescence, Poppy, and Nova Twins.
The video for “Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough” thus lands at a particularly pivotal moment for Evanescence, amid radio success, renewed recognition of their catalog, and a new global tour. With Sanctuary, the group continues to evolve its identity without renouncing what contributed to its status as a major force on the alternative metal scene.
