Oli Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon) and Courtney LaPlante (Spiritbox) Team Up for Valorant Champions 2026 Anthem

September 16, 2026

Oli Sykes of Bring Me The Horizon and Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox lend their voices to “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight,” the new official anthem for the Valorant Champions Tour 2026. Produced and composed by Grabbitz, the track is available today on streaming platforms, accompanied by a cinematic video clip that showcases the game’s universe!

For this collaboration, Riot Games has brought together three artists from different backgrounds. Familiar with the Valorant universe, Grabbitz delivers a production at the crossroads of electronic music and modern metal, while Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante contribute their voices, alternating melodic singing with harsher passages. The track, however, favors electronic atmospheres, massive guitars, and industrial rhythms over the traditional metalcore breakdowns.

The best collaborations happen when everyone brings a different perspective, and that’s what makes this track so exciting to me,” explains Grabbitz. “Oli, Courtney and I came from different corners of the world and created a track that sits naturally between my electronic world and the heavier sonic landscapes of Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox. We clicked with all three of us right away.

For Sykes, this first collaboration with Riot Games came together naturally: “I’ve always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music. Working with Riot Games, alongside Grabbitz and Courtney, and stepping into the Valorant universe felt very natural.

LaPlante, who had previously teamed with Riot Games on “Ties That Bind” for 2XKO, reconnects here with Sykes, with whom she had already shared the stage. “Oli gave me the opportunity to sing with Bring Me The Horizon several times over the years, and we’re finally making our debut on something we’ve worked on together,” she says. “Grabbitz has crafted a fantastic atmosphere and a track tailored for all three voices.

With “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight,” Grabbitz marks his fourth musical collaboration with Valorant, following “Die For You” in 2021, “Fire Again” with Ashnikko in 2022, and “Ticking Away” with bbno$ in 2023. These three tracks now accumulate over 350 million streams worldwide.

The song will accompany the climax of Valorant’s competitive season. The Valorant Champions Shanghai 2026 will bring together the world’s 16 best teams from September 24 to October 18 for the tournament’s sixth edition, which has previously paused in Berlin, Istanbul, Los Angeles, Seoul, and Paris.

Between metalcore, electronics, and grand esports spectacle, “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” offers a fresh convergence between the metal scene and Riot Games’ universe, with two of its most recognizable voices leading the charge.
