Just over a month ahead of the release of its debut album Blood Of Your Empire, PRESIDENT continues to shroud itself in mystery while revealing a new chapter of its universe. The masked British collective has just lifted the veil on the powerful and contemplative “dark heaven”!
Having quickly sparked curiosity with its anonymous identity and its blend of alternative metal, electronic textures, and cinematic atmospheres, PRESIDENT continues its ascent around Blood Of Your Empire, due out on September 4th via Atlantic Records.
With “dark heaven”, the group delivers one of the most introspective tracks in its catalog. Alternating oppressive verses, ethereal melodies and a crushing chorus, the song probes themes of faith, identity and doubt at the heart of the forthcoming album.
The group explains: ““dark heaven” is a reflection on the contradictions of faith, and on how something meant to unite humanity has so often served to justify divisions, violence and the pursuit of power. It speaks to how greed can wear the mask of righteousness. This isn’t an attack on belief itself, but a search for something authentic beneath the ambient noise, and a questioning of what remains when certainties begin to crumble.”
The video accompanying the track deliberately moves away from the traditional performance clip. PRESIDENT invited several of its fans from Los Angeles—whom the group calls its “citizens”—to hear “dark heaven” in advance inside a church. Their reactions, captured spontaneously, were then woven into a staging that emphasizes the emotional and symbolic reach of the song.
The new release sits in line with the overarching concept of Blood Of Your Empire, a record born from deep personal reflection on religion, mortality and the search for meaning.
Always faithful to their wish to remain anonymous so that the music speaks louder than the personalities, the members of PRESIDENT continue to fuel the mystery surrounding the project, a strategy that has significantly fueled the growing excitement around the group since their appearance in 2025.
Following the album’s release, PRESIDENT will take their new material on the road across Europe. The group is slated to perform in France on November 14, 2026 at L’Élysée Montmartre in Paris, joined by Vianova and Dreamwake.
With “dark heaven”, PRESIDENT confirms that it does not intend to be confined to a phenomenon sustained solely by mystery. Addressing the contradictions of faith with a sincerity that matches its ambitious and emotive alternative metal, the collective continues to lay the groundwork for a debut album that is poised to be one of the most intriguing releases of this fall 2026.
